Kashika — कािशका — means "The Shining One." Named after Varanasi, the sacred city of light, the name carries the luminosity of India's oldest traditions and the warmth of every diya lit in celebration.

How We Began

Founded in Virginia in October 2023, Kashika was born from a simple truth: the South Asian community in America deserves access to authentic, high-quality Indian fashion without having to wait for a trip home.

Too often, we found ourselves planning weddings, Diwali parties, and family functions with limited options — relying on suitcases from India, last-minute orders that never arrived, or settling for pieces that didn't reflect who we are.

We wanted to change that.
